Conditions of Carriage and Insurance
All goods are carried subject to the EasyPallets Conditions of Carriage.
All claims are to be notified in writing (to the Insurance team) in accordance with the Conditions of Carriage. The insurance excess is £100 (to be borne by the Customer).
For a claim to be processed quickly and efficiently, the customer must notify the company of any damage to the whole or any part of a consignment, or physical loss, mis-delivery or non-delivery of part of a consignment within 48 hours by email to email@example.com with written confirmation of the claim on company headed paper within a further 14 days, after the date of delivery. Any claim in respect of the non-delivery of the whole of the consignment must be notified within 28 days of dispatch. Notification of all claims must include the following information.
- Consignment Number
- Manifest Date
- Collection Date
- Delivery Date
- Nature of Goods
- Actual Weight of lost/damaged goods
- Nature of Claim
- Claimed Amount
- Condition of Carriage
- Copy of Original Sales Invoice
- Copy of Consignment Note/POD
- Evidence of claim from claimants’ customer
Note: The Company will not be able to proceed with a claim until written confirmation has been received. Once the claim has been received an investigation will be made to determine whether the claim is valid.
Claim Not Valid
If, after investigation, the claim is deemed not valid, you will be notified in writing with detailed reasons for refuting the claim.
If, after investigation, the claim is deemed valid, written notification will be sent to the insurance company with all the information provided by the claimant. Within 14 days EasyPallets will receive confirmation of receipt of the claim with a request for further information if required.
Settlement of claims should be received by the claimant within eight weeks subject to receiving all relevant documentation on a timely basis. Excess for claims is £100 and claims are settled on a cost basis only.
